I am auctioning a 2.10m length of custom made silver mains cable. I have been in the cable design industry for 25 years and was disappointed at all those top end HiFi mains cables at ludicrous prices. Their high price reflects the amount they have to spend on marketing the stuff! I designed the screened mains lead and it has been manufactured to my specifications. It is used in serious professional audio installations only ( as well as a few HiFi installations after auctioning some lengths a while back!) and not generally available to the retail market. The cable consists of :- 3 cores, Brown, Blue and Green/Yellow 1.5mm sq., 30/0.25mm. Each core has 30 strands of 0.25mm, silver plated, oxygen-free copper. The three cores are then wrapped in clear tape on top of which is wrapped an aluminium/Mylar conductive tape. A drainwire consisting of 7 strands of 0.2mm silver-plated, oxygen-free copper. Over this is a 98% coverage, braid screen made from 144 strands of 0.1mm sliver plated, oxygen-free copper.
